The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is the government body responsible for universities, institutes and scientific research in the Kurdistan Region. It accredits programmes, sets admission policy, and recognises degrees earned abroad.

The partnership with Next Step

Next Step is held in partnership with the Ministry. Its mark appears beside ours on every page of this site, and the Ministry takes part across the three days of the fair.

For students, the partnership matters in one practical way: the institutions exhibiting here are ones the Ministry recognises, and the guidance given at the fair follows official admission policy rather than rumour.
